Three teenagers!! EEEEKKKK!!

It's official! We've entered the crazy zone. On Sunday (Epiphany) M turned 13. How does this happen? How do our kids get so old when we don't feel any older? O.K., that's a slight glossing over of the obvious signs of our aging, but we certainly don't feel old enough to have 3 teenagers! We've always lumped M in with the younger kids, as in "We have two teenagers and 4 younger kids". Guess we won't be doing that anymore! He's such a sweet boy and we're so blessed that he's part of our family. I'd been hired to make a cake for a promotion reception on post and it took me hours longer than it should have because my head hurt and I couldn't bend my neck. M decided he'd rather open gifts on Sunday and wait for his birthday dinner and cake on Monday so I could focus on the promotion cake first. That cake turned out really well (pics below)and was picked up Sunday evening, then Monday I put together M's chocolate mint ice cream cake. Yum! We enjoyed his favorite meal of Stackee-up, then ate cake and played Apples to Apples. It was a great day!

Happy Birthday, Michael!! Wow, 13!
So now it's been 13 years since that German class we first took together....too bad I can't remember too much of the vocabulary...but now I can say the best part of it was the friendship I cherish more every day.

Great job on the cake! Your business should have its own blog, huh!

Happy Birthday Michael!!

Some people are lousy GodParents & still haven't gotten a list from someone else with everyone's birthdays! (passing the proverbial buck! 'the woman you gave me...'!)

I know it was a blast & we all welcome you to the prestigious realm of 'the older kids'!!

um -- hey mom -- why is MSG Gailliard shooting at MSG Fisher's tank?! Do they not like each other?! ;) Seriously though --- that looks AWESOME & I know it tasted even better!!

OMGOODNESS!! I just realized you said Stackee-Up!!!!!

WE LOVE THAT MEAL & missed it so much that we had to 're-invent' it here!!

So --- umm --- did you use tofu for the chicken?! ;)

MSG Gailliard wasn't the most friendly guy I've ever met, so maybe there was a little subconscious antagonism underlying the requested position of the boy toys. (smile)

I managed to get 3 more cake orders out that gig and have been asked to auction a few more for our MCCW fund-raiser next month. Maybe that'll drum up some more business.

As far as the Stackee-up, I served the chopped chicken on the side and skipped it on mine. My family isn't being as cooperative as I'd hoped on this new venture. Oh, well...I fix the food, so nah-nee-nah-nee-boo-boo!

We're home from SC and the college visit. More to come on the family blog. Another trip is next week to Auburn, and we covet your prayers in the many decisions coming our way. ILY

Hey Deb! I'm sure you've just been busy, but you haven't posted in a while and I wanted to let you know that I miss hearing from you and love you. I hope everything is all right.
